![]() ![]() But I think it's something which people would like to monetise on. PS: It's definitely a good idea for an app. So not sure how such details can be inculcated.įor the rest, we have our travel/routes forum for static planning! As the info in such apps cannot be static. Today I think such an app would be available as a paid service. Here's what BHPian ampere had to say on the matter: If I had the capability to develop this app/website on my own, I would do it. Points on the map for clean and comfortable (preferably western) toilets. This is because even if I want to wait until I only have a quarter tank if there would be no fuel stations, it should recommend that I fill in when my tank is only half-empty. It should also suggest refuelling points based on the car's fuel economy and also based on how low on the fuel gauge I wish to go (say I might want to fill when it's 2/3rds empty) or decide for itself based on the availability of fuel stations. It should take my inputs as to my preferred starting time every day and my preferred halting time or how many hours I wish to drive to suggest night-halts and break-times for stretching my legs.If my travel progress changes during my drive (say I am travelling faster or slower than Google's predictions), it should suggest a different night halt.Google currently does not do that (and nor does Google MyMaps) - I have to estimate it myself by way of asking for suggestions here on TBHP. When I input origin and destination that would take, say three or four days to drive, I would like it to suggest night halt locations (city/town would suffice) based on speed limits/average driving speeds/known delays en route like for constructions etc. This is what I would like to see (and I remember some websites many years ago that did this for Europe and North America): Yes, I am aware that HVK has an android-based app for something like this, but not being on Android, I have no idea on what features and issues that app has. Yes, I know Google has Google MyMaps that helps planning road trips, but unfortunately, that does not serve any purpose because it lacks optimisation features and the interface (plus transferring routes and plans to others is very clunky). It could use Google's map data and traffic info for routes maybe, or OpenStreet Maps or MapMyIndia or Apple Maps etc. I wish there were an India-specific road-trip planning app that works on iOS also, not just android. ![]() BHPian tilt recently shared this with other enthusiasts. ![]()

![]() ![]() The actors also fail to generate any sense of urgency. It also lacks creativity and fails to create any suspense or scares. Did you know that?" It makes one wonder if the writers added that for the 3-year-olds who may be watching. One example is when the made scientist gloats "Spiders are carnivores. The biggest problem with this movie is its simplistic dialogue. The CGI-effects are atrocious, as are the acting performances and it's really pathetic to see how everyone involved in this Nu-Image production takes this thing so damn seriously. The ramshackle old cargo ship forms an interesting location, but crap-director Sam Firstenberg nearly isn't talented enough to make full use of it. It takes another tedious half hour before it's confirmed that the cargo ship actually is a floating research lab where the sinister scientist feeds human bodies to over-sized tarantulas. The exclusively male crew members are insufferably friendly even though it's more than obvious that they're naughty villains, especially the annoying captain of the ship and the stereotypical mad doctor with the white beard. The sail boat of a young couple sinks during a storm but they're rescued by a huge cargo ship. It tries to be scary and original, which is a pretty bad approach if you're dealing with mutated spiders that look as gigantic as a house! Despite the remotely promising opening sequences (featuring an authentic pirate attack!) and a lot of gory killings near the end, "Spiders 2" is also a very boring film and that's really unforgivable for a post-2000 horror production. Part two regretfully is the complete opposite of all that. The first "Spiders" is one of my guiltiest guilty pleasures in the horror genre, simply because that movie is just too stupid NOT to enjoy! It had grotesque special effects, featured every single cliché of the freshly revived creature-feature sub genre and it never took itself too seriously, which resulted in a fairly entertaining & campy flick. Special effects (again a mix of animatronics and CGI) are OK. I also can't explain why the spiders sound just like elephants, but what the hell. The other actors, especially bland, square-jawed Cromer and Moll, who seems to be playing the syringe-wielding mad doctor (who is looking to create a disease-free human race) strictly for camp value, don't fair near as well. It may be Sigourney Weaver-lite in this context (right down to the tank top), but Niznik anchors the uneven film well through the finale. She's a tiny blonde, but she's tough responding to an aggressive sexual come-on by beating the crap out of the guy, kicking crotches, taking down two burly pirates on an elevator and using a man-made blowtorch and spear to kill off the spiders, while dragging her injured hubby along for the ride. Though Alex is a little annoyingly slow to catch on at first, it is her character and the spirited performance by Niznik in the role that make this movie at least tolerable. It's up to Alex to fend off the bad guys, elude the mutant spiders (which are eventually set free when the power is turned off) and find the antidote for her husband. ![]() Other victims are kept in incubation chambers until the implanted eggs hatch. But the antibiotics he has been given for his injured neck are actually drugs to incapacitate him so he can be used to incubate a spider. Jason begins snooping around the ship and realizes something bad is going on when he uncovers a cooler full of frozen cadavers. On board is a seemingly hospitable captain (Daniel Quinn) who has the hots for Alex, a ranting doctor (Richard "Bull" Moll), who looks them over and calls them "perfect specimens" and a bunch of rough-looking Russian crew members, who turn out to be the pirates from the beginning. Jason is mildly injured, but they're picked up by another cargo vessel headed for New Guinea. The next day, a young couple blonde photographer Alexandra (Stephanie Niznik) and her dimpled Golden Boy husband Jason (Greg Cromer), stumble onto the debris, find a corpse and then end up in the middle of a bad storm that sinks their boat. Some pirates invade a pleasure ship and beat, tie up and abduct the people on board before blowing up the ship. Curious reporter Marci Eyre must now survive, escape and warn everyone before the spider reaches outside the desert.Fair, watchable sequel takes place entirely at sea. The problem continues, as the survivor isn't alone, as another deadly spiders climbs out of him and goes on a rampage around the ship. One survivor is found on the ship and watched over in a secret location deep in the California desert. A DNA experiment on a rare breed of spider is taking place on a NASA space shuttle, when a freak meteor shower engulfs the shuttle, causing everything to go horribly wrong. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you’re taking the test at a school you don’t attend, you’ll also need an approved photo ID. Today the family Fringillidae is divided into three subfamilies, the Fringillinae containing a single genus with the chaffinches, the Carduelinae containing 183 species divided into 49 genera, and the Euphoniinae containing the Euphonia and the Chlorophonia. Thirty seven species were moved from Serinus to Crithagra leaving eight species in the original genus. Carduelis was split by moving the greenfinches to Chloris and a large clade into Spinus leaving just three species in the original genus. The American rosefinches were moved from Carpodacus to Haemorhous. The three largest genera, Carpodacus, Carduelis and Serinus were found to be polyphyletic. The Hawaiian honeycreepers were at one time placed in their own family, Drepanididae but were found to be closely related to the Carpodacus rosefinches and are now placed within the Carduelinae subfamily. They are now placed in a separate subfamily Euphoniinae within the Fringillidae. The Neotropical Euphonia and the Chlorophonia were formerly placed in the tanager family Thraupidae due to their similar appearance but analysis of mitochondrial DNA sequences revealed that both genera were more closely related to the finches. Several groups of birds that had previously been assigned to other families were found to be related to the finches. īeginning around 1990 a series of phylogenetic studies based on mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequences resulted in substantial revisions in the taxonomy. Limits of the genera and relationships among the species are less understood – and subject to more controversy – in the carduelines than in any other species of passerines, with the possible exception of the estrildines. In 1968 the American ornithologist Raymond Andrew Paynter, Jr. The study of the relationship between the taxa has been confounded by the recurrence of similar morphologies due to the convergence of species occupying similar niches. The taxonomy of the family, in particular the cardueline finches, has a long and complicated history. The name Fringillidae for the finch family was introduced in 1819 by the English zoologist William Elford Leach in a guide to the contents of the British Museum. įinches and canaries were used in the UK, US and Canada in the coal mining industry to detect carbon monoxide from the eighteenth to twentieth century. These groups include the estrildid finches ( Estrildidae) of the Old World tropics and Australia some members of the Old World bunting family ( Emberizidae) and the New World sparrow family ( Passerellidae) and the Darwin's finches of the Galapagos islands, now considered members of the tanager family ( Thraupidae). Many birds in other families are also commonly called "finches". It includes the canaries, siskins, redpolls, serins, grosbeaks and euphonias, as well as the morphologically divergent Hawaiian honeycreepers. The family Fringillidae contains more than two hundred species divided into fifty genera. They have a worldwide native distribution except for Australia and the polar regions. They occupy a great range of habitats where they are usually resident and do not migrate. Finches generally have stout conical bills adapted for eating seeds and nuts and often have colourful plumage. The true finches are small to medium-sized passerine birds in the family Fringillidae. ![]() ![]() ![]() In a smaller number of colon cancers, microsatellite instability plays a bigger role in which impaired DNA mismatch repair enzymes are unable to ensure the fidelity of a copied DNA strand, increasing the risk for developing cancer. Pencil thin stools may be a sign of a bowel obstruction, according to Mayo Clinic. Pencil thin stool Toilet poop Hello all, Recently I had some type of flare up. The malignant potential of an adenomatous polyp is related to the age of the patient, the size of the polyp, and the villous component. Some healthcare professionals refer to pencil thin stools, meaning your poop is about the width of a pencilabout a quarter-inch. Adenomatous polyps are considered premalignant and it is estimated that 20 % will go on to become malignant. Faecal Impaction: This is a type of obstruction when your stool becomes hard and dry in the lower bowel. If you experience the serious symptoms, you must consult with a doctor. A subsequent KRAS mutation achieves unregulated intracellular signaling and transduction which allows for the formation of an adenoma. Pencil thin stool is not healthy, and you could get other symptoms such as sudden loss of appetite and weight, anal bleeding and pain. The sequence begins with a loss of the APC tumor suppressor gene resulting in decreased intercellular adhesion and increased proliferation. Not every loose (mushy) stoolor diarrhea is a sign of early colorectal cancer (CRC). However, These changes in the stool are widespread and far from being a specific sign of colon cancer. Nevertheless, whenever something about your bowel movements begins worrying you, your next move should be to consult with a gastroenterologist especially if you’re at least 45 and have never had a colonoscopy. Loose stool or diarrhea are common early signs of stage one colon cancer. This is also known as the chromosome instability pathway since there is a stepwise accumulation of mutations leading to carcinoma. Of note: The specific descriptor of groove or elongated indent in a stool is never included in symptom lists for colon cancer.
